My work in theatre, television and film in San Francisco, New York, Toronto and Vancouver has included roles as diverse as Nina in The Seagull<\/em><\/strong>, Gwendolyn in the musical of Oscar Wilde\u2019s The Importance of Being Earnest<\/em><\/strong>, Gammer Gurton in the oldest English comedy, Gammer Gurton\u2019s Needle<\/em><\/strong>, Nancy Reagan in an off-Broadway political satire A Bonzo Christmas Carol<\/em><\/strong>. In Toronto, I played Sylvia Plath in the Canadian Premiere of Letters Home<\/em><\/strong>, Fefu in Maria Irene Fornes\u2019 Fefu & her Friends<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In film and television, credits range from a Stephen King movie of the week, It<\/em><\/strong>, to guest starring with Mickey Rooney in the Vancouver-based tv series The Black Stallion<\/em><\/strong>. I played three starring roles in the feature-length motion picture Singing the Bones<\/em><\/strong>, which premiered at the Montreal World Film Festival, and has screened in Australia, New Zealand, the U.K., the United States and Canada. Radio credits include Stories for a Winter Solstice <\/em><\/strong>on CBC\u2019s Morningside (1996), Almanac (\u201894 & \u201895, The Afternoon Show (\u201894) and A Woman\u2019s Body<\/em><\/strong> and One of Those Days<\/em><\/strong>,Commentary (\u201895).<\/p>\n

I have toured my own work as a playwright to hundreds of cities in five countries, playing Annie Shea in Six Palm Trees,<\/em><\/strong> Dorothy and Karen in Just a Little Fever<\/em><\/strong>, Sara, Meg and Nicole in Singing the Bones<\/em><\/strong>. My work as an actress\/playwright has been seen at the Edmonton and Vancouver Fringe<\/em><\/strong>, the Women In View Festival<\/em><\/strong>, at Sechelt\u2019s Raven\u2019s Cry Theatre and Gibson\u2019s Heritage Playhouse. I have performed at the National Arts Center Atelier<\/em><\/strong> in Ottawa and the Festival des Ameriques Cabaret<\/em><\/strong> in Montreal.<\/p>\n

And now, I’m putting characters from all this work into the world again, with my podcast SOME KINDA WOMAN, Stories of Us<\/a>. The voices of women at pivotal moments in their lives, one character at a time.<\/p>\n
